She Dwells is a New York City-based book club that hosts virtual and in person events. Each month, we explore a new book written by a woman or person of color. She Dwells is open to lifelong readers and new readers.
Eliana Smith
She Dwells was founded by Eliana Smith, a lover of reading, writing, and dwelling. After completing a Master’s in English literature, Eliana wanted to continue habitual reading and open discussion. In an attempt to limit her screen time and encourage her friends to do the same, Eliana created a book club. She Dwells is designed intentionally for both the well-read and those who haven’t picked up a book in years. Each book of the month is selected with care and consideration, and the monthly meetings are approachable yet thought-provoking.
